Why don't chat messages work for me?

I can’t see the chat window
- You need to have the chat window open to chat, and for people to chat to you.
  
  Go to Chat page. Click the big Open Chat Window link.
  
  You should be ready to go.
- The chat window may be open but hidden behind other windows.
  
  Check to see if the chat window is already open. If not open it.
The chat window doesn't open
- The chat window opens in a pop-up. Your browser may be set to block pop-ups and you’ll need to allow them for this site.
  
  Check that your browser allows pop-ups for www.illicitencounters.com
  
  Allowing Pop-ups for Internet Explorer
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Turn On Pop-up Blocker to turn on the Pop-up Blocker, or click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.
  Allowing Pop-ups for Firefox
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Options (on a Mac go to Preferences in the Application Menu).
  2. Click on the Content button (3rd from the left).
  3. Either un-tick the Block popup windows box, or leave it ticked and click the Exceptions button and add "www.illicitencounters.com" to the list.
The chat window is blank.
- The chat system is powered by Flash. The version we use is available on 98% of browsers worldwide.
  
  You may need to enable plug-ins in your browser's preferences in order for Flash to work.
- There may have been a problem loading the chat system. Try hitting refresh in your browser (F5).
I'm being told to empty Browser cache
- Some users may experience problems when using the chat system on Internet Explorer 8
- To empty your cache in Internet Explorer, goto Tools -> Internet Options then in the General Tab under Browsing history, click on Delete and tick Temporary Internet files and click Delete button again.
- To empty your cache in FireFox :
  Tools -> Clear Private Data, Select Cache then click on Clear Private Data Now
- To empty your cache in Safari :
  Edit -> Empty Cache ( or CTRL - ALT - E)
I'm being told to upgrade Flash
- The chat system requires a Flash version of at least 9.0.28.
  
  If you have a lower version than this you will need to upgrade.
- You'll need to log in as an administrator to upgrade Flash. If you are unable to do this you may turn off the upgrade notices in your browser.
I've tried all the above...
- Your network or firewall may be blocking chat messages. Please check your network and firewall settings.
  
  You need to allow Flash messages to use chat. If you cannot alter your network or firewall settings, try using a different internet connection.
